I am a thirty-nine year old software developer. Many years ago, I wrote static web pages on both AOL and Geocities. Today, I am interested in Neocities out of both curiosity and nostalgia for my youth making these niche web pages on a shared service. I always felt like social media swept away the beautiful reality of making your own web page to express yourself. That is what sparked the search that ultimately sent me to Neocities.
I want to use this space just to make a simple, static web page. I want to talk about things. I want to talk about what computers and video games have been like for me throughout my life. I feel that I have an interesting perspective on both. I was a living witness to history. And I loved all of it.
I've done other things in my life. In my twenties, I spent a lot of time in video production. This was before YouTube or really any sort of meaningful video sharing on the internet. Watching technology change and grow throughout my life has been a great joy. Computer technology is a great tool that I think we all take for granted today. I want to recall my experiences and share my memories.
